We see the written words in the bottom with speech when we watch movies those are the sub-titles. Subtitles are used for different reasons. If
you would like to see in any other language movies, you
can not take it to another language, You need subtitle to understand those movies, subtitles are easy to
understand if you can.
I use subtitles for some reasons such as in English movies the actors sometime speak very fast, some of which are often difficult to understand. On the other hand, if the movie subtitles are there when i watch movies, i can understand everything and the taste of watching movies increases.
Generally, a separate subtitles file .srt file format, the player can load it separately. And muxing/ hard-coding means attaching the subtitle file into the movies so that we can see subtitles in any situation. There are some players those can not add subtitle directly. But if we do muxing the players can automatically detect and load subtitles. The advantage is, I do not need subtitles to separate files. There is no chance of losing.
I searched the internet before to add subtitle in a movie but all the processes are critical except this one. So lets see how to do muxing:
To do that you need a software called MKV Merge GUI. Download and install it from the following address: http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/win32/?path=&download=mkvtoolnix-unicode-5.2.0-setup.exe
Open the MKV Merge GUI software.
1. Add click to open your movie file and by the same way add your .srt file you downloaded and select the .srt file, usually the last one in the list is the subtitle file but another way to recognize is the SRT writing.
2. Select the subtitle language usually we choose English subtitle.
3. Go to the tab marked as no.3 in the above's photo
4. Go to Charset marked as no.4 and select ISO-8859-2
5. In no.5 choose the output path where you want it
6. In no.6 (as marked in the picture) click Start muxing
It will take 15-20 seconds to finish the muxing process. Now go to the output folder and play the movie, the subtitles will load automatically. Now you can delete the external .srt file.
Note: In this way your movie will save in .MKV format and nowadays matroska(MKV) format is very popular for its small size and excellent output quality.
